| Prof. Tao LiuZhejiang University, China Professor Tao Liu serves as a professor and doctoral advisor at the Institute of Mechatronic Control Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Zhejiang University. He was promoted to IEEE Senior Member in 2015 and assumed the role of Director of the Institute of Micro/Nano Technology and Precision Engineering at Zhejiang University in December 2017. He pioneered the development of a wearable sensor system for human biomechanics analysis, resolving the international technical challenge that quantitative analysis of human joint and muscle forces had previously relied solely on high-speed camera motion capture and stationary force plate systems. He has led or participated in 13 research projects funded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, the Japan Science and Technology Agency, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His internationally patented inventions have been commercialized and adopted by research institutions in the United States, Japan, and Canada, earning him the 2010 Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers Award. Published over 100 academic papers. |
